Mark 4:35-41 〰️ The King of the Storm 〰️
There's a chance you have a handful of new folks who have gotten connected to your group, so this may be an excellent time to connect and build relationships with more open and pondering questions. Some of our groups already do this, but if you have any new folks, think of an icebreaker or two that can get the conversation going! Everyone has something they love and would be willing and excited to talk about, so anything that can facilitate conversations and help folks drop their guard will be massively helpful as we move forward as a group!
Below are some open-ended questions that can be applied to any passage of Scripture. We encourage you to share these with your group so they can use them in their personal study of God's Word as well! This "format" is called the Swedish Method and is open-ended for a reason. This is a good week to do so as we're reading a few of Jesus' parables that are generally easy to grasp but can have a variety of answers in the area of personal application. In this passage, Jesus talks about the light that should be displayed rather than hidden, symbolizing our faith and witness to the world around us. He then expands on what faith means by talking about the mustard seed and how a little can grow to produce much. Hopefully, this will be edifying for your group as we all wrestle with what it means to faithfully follow Jesus and witness to those around us!
