Sharon and I have known Jordan and Jessica since they were students at N.C. State. They both rose to leadership in one of the largest CRU movements in the country. Jordan has a passion for God’s Word, apologetics, a caring heart for people, and a genuine love for Jesus Christ. He is passionate about evangelism and discipleship and wants to serve by planting a church in his community. We predict great success for them.

Jordan Penley has a proven commitment to Christ’s church, godly character, and an evident pastoral and experiential commitment to humility and holiness.  He is built and wired for God’s mission to the lost and is just the kind of leader we need to reach plant in Church in Southwest Raliegh. He has a proven track record in pastoral ministry and a significant impact on the people he has led. In today’s cultural and societal landscape, we need tested, proven, called, and competent men to step into our cities, preach the gospel, and lead others in doing the same.  Jordan is the leader we need for the great city of Raliegh. Dr. Douglas Logan, Jr, President Grimké Seminary and College, Vice President of Advancement of Acts 29 Network, Pastor for Church Planting at Remnant Church in Richmond, VA, and Author of On The Block, Developing a Biblical Picture for Missional Engagement.

Jordan and Jessica are the kind of leaders the Church is in dire need of. They are highly relational disciple-makers, and their vision is Spirit-steeped which makes King’s Table Church an easy church to invest in. Jordan’s affection for the Scriptures and their practical, grounded implementation makes King’s Table Church an easy church to call home. We’re honored to send them with our prayers and support.

I cannot think of a better person to lead a church in West Raleigh than Jordan Penley. For more than a decade, I have watched Jordan and Jessica’s heart for people, willingness to serve sacrificially and deep desire to follow Jesus, no matter the cost. They have led the way among other leaders I know in their heart for the lost and their heart for discipleship. I believe that God desires to use the Penleys and King’s Table to bring hope and deep abiding joy to a part of Raleigh that desperately needs it. I could not be more hopeful and proud to watch these friends step into this new adventure.
