Foster Care & Adoption &

The King’s Table foster care and adoption ministry is a disciple-making, mercy ministry that exists to bring support, awareness, and hope to families and individuals before, during, and after foster care and/or adoption.

Our vision is to reverse the foster care crisis in the Triangle.

Support families before children enter the foster care system

  • The Care Portal is a technology platform that helps connect church volunteers to the needs of vulnerable families in the city. Too often a child is put into foster care because of poverty, because the poverty leads to neglect. By partnering with the Care Portal, we can prevent children from entering into foster are by supporting families that find themselves in hard and vulnerable places.

Support foster and adoptive families during their time in our church family

  • Join us in creating memorable momets for our families — where love and support abound!

  • Our hope as a church is to wrap around our foster and adoptive families and support them in tangible ways as they pursue obedience in this hard calling. One way we can do this is by providing meals. Our hope is to provide one free meal per month, per family. If you’re interested in supporting our families in this way, fill out the form at the bottom of this page and we’ll get you connected!

  • Did you know that the turnover rate for foster parents is 50% after a year if they don’t have support?

Another way we can support and encourage our families is by providing respite, aka kiddo-free time for them to rest! This looks like caring for their child(ren) while the parents take a morning, afternoon or night off. In this volunteer role, you provide much needed rest for the parents and simultaneously serve as a mentor role to the kiddo as you begin to build that relationship. Fill out the form below if you’re interested in serving in this way.
