Rooted Church
At King’s Table, we have the joy of coming alongside other church plants as they make disciples and spread the gospel. We are excited to share how God has been at work through Rooted Church in Royal Oak, Michigan. Here’s an update from their pastors Ronnie Goble and Alfonso Mack:
We are enjoying the Michigan summer and praising God for these last few months of gospel growth in Rooted Church! Here are some updates to fuel your prayers!
Babies Being Born
We launched Rooted Church in 2024 with 18 adults and a handful of kids. It has been a joy to watch our original kids grow and see many more born in just two years. We dedicated children and commissioned parents in May and it was a great celebration for our whole church family. Our church has definitely gotten much noisier, in a beautiful way, on Sunday mornings!
Please pray for:
- Parents to grow as disciples, form strong marriages and grow in the wisdom and skill of parenting
- Church members to love and support our parents in informal ways and by serving on our Rooted Kids team
- Kids in Rooted to be shaped by the joy of Christ as they observe the adults and are cared for and instructed by them
Believers Being Born Again
Jesus taught in John 3 that all people need to be born again spiritually if they are to inherit the kingdom of God. This is why we preach the gospel to our kids and to everyone that God brings to our community. This is the core reason for planting a new church!
We are praising God that our church has grown from 18 to 75 members in just over two years and we are regularly seeing over 100 adults in attendance on Sundays. We recently had the great privilege of baptizing seven people into the faith and our church! Their lives are changed because he has heard your prayers and blessed the work of our hands.
Please pray for:
- These new believers to become firmly established in the faith
- Protection from the devil and his schemes
- A culture of invitation and sharing the gospel to continue to grow in Rooted
So then, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, being rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with gratitude.
